Amazon  The Nile is estimated to be between 5,499 kilometers (3,437 miles) and 6,690 kilometers (4,180 miles) long. There is no debate, however, that the Amazon carries more water than any other river on Earth.

There are two ways to look at water flow in a river, either by measuring the average flow or the peak flow. The average flow of a river is the average of all the water that passes a point in a river over a given period of time.
