The guy is just polite and says 'take care' to all his close friends or “semi-romantic” friends. He probably genuinely cares about the well being of his close friends and would not want them getting into an accident in the random and dangerous 'out doors'.

Take care is a common phrase when saying goodbye to someone you’ve just met. The meaning is sort of ambiguous, but it usually means that you care about that person and are wishing them well.

The best way to find out what people mean when they say something is to ask them. If you’re not sure what someone is trying to tell you, just ask them directly. It’s not rude to ask someone to explain what they mean because it’s important that you’re both on the same page.

When a guy says “take care,” it can mean one of a few things. Take care of yourself, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, or take care of yourself.

In the context of social media, when a guy says take care, he’s really saying goodbye, i.e. "take care of yourself" or "take care of things for me". He may also say take care to be polite and acknowledge that he's seeing you off.
