Code 99 means there’s an emergency but that the situation is under control. Code 99 is less serious than Code Blue or Code Red but more serious than Code Green or Code Yellow.

Code 99 is a medical emergency code that indicates there’s a situation that requires immediate attention and resources. Code 99 means “Personnel required at the point of delivery.” In other words, there’s a baby coming, and someone needs to get over to the hospital stat to deliver it.
