Samsung TV Error Code 107

For the Smart Hub to work effectively on a smart TV, there needs to be a stable Internet. However, at a time connection is lost and this makes applications pointless. In such a scenario, error code 107.

Error 107: description

The error code is associated with the lack of or unstable Internet. Network access will disappear when the instant-on-feature is used, to restore it, switch the feature off. It can be done by disconnecting the TV from the wall outlet and then wait for several minutes. The effect may not be long-lasting; the error disappears after a repeated instant of switching the WI-FI.

Before restarting your device, check how the wiring could behave on other devices. If the network is still unavailable, the error is due to unstable network connection caused by either incorrect router configuration, or challenges on the part of the service provider. It can be resolved by reconfiguring the router or contacting the service provider.

Reasons for error 107

To eradicate the error code, turn the network channel from either 5 GHz to 2 GHz or vice versa, or change the DNS setting by entering the IP address manually, subnet mask, and other parameters.

If the error is due to software failure, none of the above will reset it.

Bad firmware

Installing infected firmware can also cause the error code because some of them contain bugs. To reset the error, roll back the installed firmware or install a new one.

If your TV is connected to the internet, it will automatically update the software and by so doing eradicate the error code 107. If not connected, you may have to download the update manually. Once downloaded, unpack it to a USB flash drive and connect the USB drive to the TV.

Afterward;

  • open Settings;
  • go to the Support section;
  • Press Software Update;
  • Select USB Update or Network Update.

After this, the error will disappear and the TV must function effectively.

Incorrect TV settings

In most cases, re-flashing helps. Otherwise, reset the TV. To do this:

  • open the Settings menu;
  • go to the Support section;
  • open the Self-diagnosis item in the list that appears;
  • press Reset;
  • enter the PIN code (standard – four zeros);
  • try connecting to Wi-Fi again.

In addition to this, a deep reset could also be helpful. To reset:

  • Press the Power button on the door in the upper right;
  • hold the button until switched off;
  • switch on the TV.
