Now , we have the fact that from the 1250 students 58% are female . So the number of students are female is , 1250 ×58/100 = 25 × 29 = 725 . So there are 725 female students in the school . ∴ There are 525 male students reading in the School .

There are a number of ways to solve this problem. One way is to convert 58% to a fraction and multiply by 1,250. Another way is to use the percentages as decimals and subtract. 58% = 0.58. 58% – 0.58 = 0.42. 42% of 1,250 is 525. so there are 525 males in that school
