On the date a 90-day note is honored, how much cash will the payee receive?

A 90-day note is paid in full on the 90th day after it’s issued. If a company issues a 90-day note today, it will be paid on January 31st; the payee receives cash equal to the face value of the note or 90% of the face value, whichever is greater.
