Younger people tend to have faster growing nails than older people, and men and pregnant women tend to experience faster nail growth than others. In healthy adults, average fingernail growth is about 3.5 millimeters per month — about the thickness of a ballpoint pen cap.

Yes. It’s good that your nails grow fast. According to Wikipedia, “the normal rate of growth of fingernails is 3-4 mm per month, with the fingernails growing from the sides of the nail bed at an angle of approximately 45 degrees”.
