How would you use active listening in a job interview to ‘interview’ the interviewer?

To listen actively is to take your interviewers words, repeat them back to them, and ask them to clarify. This shows the interviewer that you’re really listening and that you’re interested in what they’re saying.  This is the perfect way to interview an interviewer.

Active listening is about showing the other person that you’re engaged and interested by repeating back to them what they’ve said and asking questions that show you’re understanding and interested in the conversation.

Active listening is paying attention to what the other person is saying, and actively trying to understand what they’re saying. This involves paraphrasing what they’re saying so that you’re confirming that you’re in agreement and that you understand what they’re saying.
