It’s recommended that the health and safety committee is made up of a group of people working in different areas of the business. For example, you could appoint a representative from the production department, the personnel department, the management team, and a representative from the trade union if you’re a member of one.

First off, it’s important to realise who should be on the committee. In order to be effective, the committee should include representatives from all departments in the company and should have a good cross-section of ages, experience and expertise.

I would ask the CEO to appoint me to the committee. Then I would find people who were already committee members who were passionate about health and safety, and I would ask them to recommend people to be added to the committee.

The health & safety council is made up of representatives from each department. It’s important that everyone is represented. It’s not enough to just have two or three representatives. It’s important that you have a good mix of ages, genders, and races.

The answer to this question is dependent on the size of your company. If you’re a small business, it’s important to have your own health and safety representative. If you’re a larger business, however, it’s important to appoint a representative from each department.
