The quickest way to fix a problem is to boot up your computer in Safe Mode and to check for any extra software that may be causing the problem. If you have an antivirus, you can choose to uninstall it and see if that resolves the issue.

There are a few steps you can take to remedy the situation. First, try shutting down any programs that you’re not using, such as antivirus programs and other security programs. Try shutting down any programs that you don’t use often, such as an anti-malware program, and see if that helps.

If you’re experiencing boot problems on Windows Vista, first try restarting your computer. If that doesn’t work, try booting up your computer with the system restore feature enabled. If that doesn’t work, you can try booting up your computer with the Safe Mode feature enabled.

It really depends on what Windows Vista product you have. If it's the Upgrade version, you can use the Repair function from the installation disc to fix the problem. If you have the Full version, then I recommend you use a Windows Vista Repair Tool such as Glary Undelete to perform a "File Recovery".

If your computer is running slower than usual or if you are having problems with your computer, you may want to run the Windows Vista startup repair. This procedure will scan your computer for any possible problems and try to fix them.
