A lot of people are having a problem with the home button not working on their Galaxy S6. It seems to be a software issue. To fix the issue, you need to: 1. Go to Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device. 2. Click Reset Device.

Your home button may not be responding because it needs to be cleaned or there's a problem with the hardware. To clean it, take a can of compressed air and blow into the button. You can also remove the button and clean it with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.

We’ve found a fix for this problem with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It seems to affect handsets made between March and April 2015, and it could be due to a software bug, or it might be caused by an issue with the hardware.

If this is the case you have either a hardware or software issue. If you experience this issue on a new device, it is likely a hardware issue. If this is the case, you will need to contact your carrier to request a replacement device.
