To change your screen resolution

, clicking Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution. Click the drop-down list next to Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply.

First, you can check your screen resolution by going to the Control Panel and opening the Display applet. You can adjust your screen resolution by clicking on the Settings tab and selecting the Customize button. You’ll see a window that allows you to change your resolution and your screen size.

First, restart your computer. After that, you'll need to access your display properties. In Windows 7, you can do that by right-clicking the desktop, then choosing "Screen Resolution." In Windows 8 you can get there by right-clicking the bottom-left corner of your screen, then clicking "Control Panel.
