If you have a Windows 8 touch screen laptop and you have been getting frustrated because it seems like the sensitivity is off, the touch screen on Windows 8 computers is a little different from the touch screen on Windows 7 computers.

You can turn off the sensitivity by pressing the Windows key and Pause/Break key. There will be a slider on the screen where you can turn off touchpad sensitivity.

In the Properties of Synaptics ClickPad window, scroll to and click to expand Pointing. Under Pointing, click Sensitivity, and then click the Tools icon. In the Sensitivity window, click and drag the slider arrow to adjust the setting as desired, and then click the Close button.
