  1. Trim away any splinters or broken edges of the door slat.
  2. Clean the slat with trisodium phosphate on a rag. ...
  3. Mix a two-part wood epoxy according to the package instructions. ...
  4. Apply a thin line of epoxy along the broken part of the slat and press the edges together.

I was trying to fix the broken slat on a levolor door. I’m not sure if it was the type of wood or what, but the slat splintered and broke off where it was nailed to the rail.

When one of the slats in your blinds breaks, you can replace it by removing the cord from the blind and threading a new one through the space where the old one was. Cut the cord to the length of the space left by the broken slat, and attach the end of the cord to the end of the blind.

The easiest way to fix broken slats is to slide the slats back into the tracks. It’s easiest to do this when the blinds are closed so you don’t have to worry about the slats falling out.
