If you have a pair of glasses that’s broken and in need of repair, there are a few options that you can pursue. If your glasses are still covered under warranty you can either get them replaced or you can try to have them repaired by your optometrist.

You can fix broken plastic glasses frame by using a small piece of clear tape and stick it to a broken piece of the frame. Let it sit overnight and the next day you should be able to pop out the broken piece of plastic from the frame.

When it comes to taking care of your glasses, the biggest mistake you can make is failing to keep your glasses clean. Keeping your glasses clean extends their life, and it also protects your eyes from harmful bacteria and germs.

In order to fix the plastic glasses frame, first take the broken frame off. Then cut a small piece of heat shrink tubing and slide it onto the end of the nose pads. Heat the tubing with a lighter or hair dryer until it shrinks. This will hold the nose pads in place and prevent them from slipping off.
