Try to use a pencil eraser to rub the battery contacts, then clean the battery terminals (where the batteries touch the camera) with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

First, let me tell you, there is no one magic way to fix things. There are many ways to do things and it is just up to you to choose the best method you are comfortable with. If you want, you can bring your watch to a watch repair shop and have it fixed. This may be the easiest way to go.

The best way to fix a broken battery contact is to replace the entire battery. If you have the tools and/or the skills, you can do it yourself. Or you can take it to a professional for help. Replacing the battery will be much cheaper than buying an entirely new device.

The most common problem with Garmin GPS devices is a bad battery contact. If your device will not turn on, the problem is very likely a bad battery contact. The battery contacts on the back of the device are very easy to fix. Remove the battery cover and you will see a small metal spring.

To get your Garmin watch working again, you'll need to fix the broken battery contacts. Remove the screws on the back of the watch case with a screwdriver. Note that some watches come with screws on the back and some watches come with screws on the underside of the watch case. If your watch has screws on the underside, remove those first.
