If your laptop screen is cracked or broken, first figure out how bad the crack is. If it’s the whole screen, you’ll have to replace the LCD. If it’s just a crack or a small piece of glass that’s missing, you can replace just that part.

Before you do anything, make sure you have all the right tools and equipment to fix your screen. You're going to need a heat gun, a spudger to help you pry the screen off, a Phillips screwdriver, a suction cup, a plastic opening tool, and a soldering iron.

"You can always fix your laptop screen on your own. Most laptop screens can be replaced in 20 minutes or less, but you’ll need the right tools and a little bit of know-how.

1. Lay your laptop on a flat surface, preferably one that’s not carpeted.

You can fix a laptop screen if it’s gone out using a few things like a hairdryer, isopropyl alcohol, a credit card, and a pair of headphones. First, let the screen cool down for a while.

If you have a broken laptop screen, don't worry. There are a few things you can do to fix it. First, you should turn off your laptop, remove the battery and hold the power button for a few seconds. This will release any electrical charge in the laptop and prevent you from electrocuting yourself.
