Repair the headphone jack Repair the plug with no soldering involved (From YouTube.com) If none of these DIY fixes work for you, you may have to open the device and make more invasive repairs. Keep in mind that opening your device could void your warranty and may even cause irreparable damage if you didn’t do the repair correctly.

There are several different ways to fix a headphone jack on a phone, but the first thing you should always do is try a new pair of headphones. Old headphones can break down over time and lose the ability to make a good connection with your phone.

If your phone’s headphone jack is broken, you can fix it with a few household items. Cut off a piece of a plastic straw that’s roughly the same size as the hole in your phone’s headphone jack. Then, use a hot needle to melt a hole in the centre of the tin foil.
