If you have a gas boiler, gas fire, gas cooker, gas water heater or gas oven, you need to have them serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer every year. However, if you have a gas-fired central heating system, then it’s vital that you have it serviced every year by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 require that all gas appliances in a home are regularly inspected by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The regulations require that the engineer inspects the appliances at the beginning of the tenancy, then annually, to ensure that the appliances are safe and well maintained.

The “messy” world of entrepreneurs and creatives isn’t messy because they’re disorganized – it’s messy because they’re the last people in the world who want to be organized. It’s messy because they’re the first ones to try something new.

You should have your gas appliances safety checked every year by a gas safe registered engineer. If you’re buying a new gas appliance, it’s a good idea to ask how often it should be safety checked by a gas safe registered engineer.
