If you earn more than £100,000 a year, you will have to pay 40% tax on any earnings above that threshold. If you earn more than £123,700 a year, you’ll pay an extra rate of 45%.

The amount of tax you’re paying depends on how much you earn in a year. If you earn under $18,200, you don’t pay any tax. If you earn between $18,200 and $37,000 then you’ll pay 19 cents in the dollar.
