If you’re into food and cooking, then there’s a quick trick you need to know. If you have a recipe that calls for one clove of garlic but you only have a teaspoon of garlic powder, then you can multiply the teaspoon measurement by three to get the same measurement as a clove of garlic.

The answer to this is three teaspoons of garlic powder is equivalent to one clove of garlic. It’s important to note that garlic powder is dehydrated garlic, so it has a much stronger flavour than fresh or roasted garlic.

One clove of garlic is equal to 1.5 teaspoons of dried garlic or 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. A smaller clove of garlic is equivalent to ½ teaspoon garlic powder and 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder.
