According to the Arbor Day Foundation, the time needed to kill a tree using bleach depends on the size of the tree. A small tree can be killed in a few hours while a larger tree can take up to six months.

I don’t know the answer to this question because I’m not a scientist but I’ve definitely heard a lot of people throw out this question about chlorine bleach.

The amount of time that it takes bleach to kill a tree depends on the type of tree and the concentration of bleach. Bleach can kill a tree in as little as two weeks if the concentration is strong enough.

Bleach takes anywhere from 14 days to 6 weeks to kill a tree. It all depends on the size of the tree, the size of the trunk, and how much bleach you use. If you use too much bleach, it can burn the tree. If the tree is really small, it can dry it out so quickly that it kills the tree.
