If the screen displays error code NE, the LG washer will stop completely. Read this article to understand more about this problem and how you can solve it.
What caused the NE error?
Error code NE is a problem associated with the self-diagnostic mode of various LG washer models. It usually occurs when entering the self-test program when the user does not have time to press the Start / Pause key. As a result, instead of test information, the error code NE is displayed on the screen and the device stops working immediately.
How to solve the problem yourself?
There are three ways the issue can be resolved.
- Click the Soil Level and Spin Speed buttons, and then as you hold them press the Power. Release all three at the same time. Then put your finger on Start / Pause immediately, however, do not press on it, but wait for the door to click. At that very moment, as soon as the hatch is locked, you need to click on Start / Pause to activate Test Mode. If you do not have time to do this within 1-2 seconds, the error NE will automatically appear on the screen.
- Switch on the washing machine and select the Spin Speed program. Then press on Start, let the water fill the tank, and immediately switch off the equipment. When you reboot, the device should function as normal.
- Disconnect the cord from the mains and leave the device for 15-30 minutes and then connect it back. The error code should reset automatically after rebooting.
In case of the error code NE, repairs are not necessary. All the components and the subunits of the washing device and therefore no repairs are needed. The error code is usually due to the failure of the user to press the start/pause button in time when entering the self-diagnostic mode.
