I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L 2WD Reg Cab. I was recently parking my truck in a parking lot when I heard a click. In my rear view mirror I noticed that my parking brake had activated. I then tried to release the parking brake and noticed that the parking brake lever would not release.

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7 engine and the parking brake lever is frozen. I have not been able to move the lever with the handle or from underneath the truck. I was wondering how to fix the parking brake lever without removing the rear axle.

I recently was working on a Dodge Ram 1500 with a frozen parking brake lever. The truck had been parked outside and the parking brake was stuck on. I tried to free it up by removing the rear axle but when I did this, the parking brake cable snapped.

In the case of the parking brake, it's frozen and I can't pull it out of the handle. It's stuck. The truck is a 2008 Dodge Ram with the Cummins diesel engine.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 and the parking brake lever froze up to the point where I couldn't move it with my hand. After a little research I found that you don't have to remove the rear axle to be able to move the parking brake lever.
