First, it’s important to remember that acute separation anxiety is extremely normal. If your child is experiencing this, it’s likely that they’re going through a stage of emotional development and it’s important to help them through it as best as you can as a parent.I would say to the parents that the best thing to do is to expose the child to the source of the anxiety. For example, if their anxiety is directed at their mother, who’s going to work, then the mother should try to stay at home until the child is able to cope without her.
